Intensive A1 course 

 

In 7 classes during the Christmas holidays you will reach A1 level Dutch and learn all the essentials of the language. 

What you can do:

 

  • Introduce yourself and others: and ask for/give personal details like where you live. 
     
  • Communicate in simple, everyday situations: in shops, restaurants, and cafes. 
     
  • Understand basic phrases and sentences: when people speak slowly and clearly. 
     
  • Write and read short, simple texts: like postcards or fill out forms with personal information.

A1

 

In 10 classes you will reach A1 level Dutch and learn all the essentials of the language.

A2.1


In 10 classes you will reach A2.1 level Dutch and make a big step towards A2 level.

 

  • Expanded Vocabulary:
    You'll learn vocabulary for everyday situations, such as real estate, family doctors, and shopping. 
     
  • Grammar Consolidation:
    You'll reinforce topics from A1 and learn new structures like the simple past tense and perfect tense.
     
  • Sentence Structures:
    You'll learn to build more complex sentences and use of compound sentences.
     
  • Speaking:
    You'll practice discussing personal experiences, dreams, ambitions, and plans in everyday conversations. 
     
  • Listening:
    You'll develop the ability to understand main points in clear standard speech on familiar topics, like announcements or conversations in public places. 
     
  • Reading:
    You'll learn to understand the main points of simple texts, such as emails or short news articles. 
     
  • Writing:
    You'll be able to write clear, simple texts about familiar topics, like letters or short reports.

A2.2

 

At Dutch A2.2, you build on your A2.1 skills to achieve a functional level of Dutch in 10 classes, enabling you to communicate about familiar topics and everyday situations in an everyday context. 
 
  • Speaking and Listening: You can follow slow, clear speech on familiar topics and participate in simple, routine conversations. 
     
  • Vocabulary: You'll expand a basic vocabulary for personal and everyday topics, including shopping, work, and local surroundings. 
     
  • Grammar: You'll gain a deeper understanding of sentence structures, word order, and tenses, including basic past tenses. 
     
  • Cultural Knowledge: You'll have a better understanding of Dutch society and culture.

  • Personal Topics:
    You can talk about your background, family, hobbies, and personal experiences. 
     
  • Routine Tasks:
    You can make simple phone calls, ask for and give information or directions, and describe your immediate environment. 
     
  • Social Situations:
    You are able to participate in simple, routine conversations at work, in shops, or when out with friends.
