Our Teaching Method
Learning a language works best when it feels useful and fun. Besides that we focus on four things:
1. Real-life situations
We practice the Dutch you actually need. From small talk with colleagues, ordering in restaurants and handling other daily life in the Netherlands.
2. Learning by doing
We keep lessons active and hands-on. Speaking, listening, and trying things out are at the heart of every class. Mistakes are welcome. They’re part of learning!
3. Tailored to you
Everyone learns differently. We adapt our lessons to your level, pace, and goals, whether that’s feeling confident while speaking, passing an exam, or just chatting with Dutch friends.
4. Focus on speaking (and listening) in the classroom
The main goal of our courses is to enhance speaking and listening skills. By learning grammatical rules and making written assignments in the book endlessly you train a different part of your brain. Although we teach and test speaking, listening, writing and reading - the focus in the classroom is on speaking and listening.
What you can expect:
-
Clear structure with plenty of space for practice
-
Small groups for lots of personal attention
-
A relaxed atmosphere where there is room for jokes and laughter and everyone feels safe to speak
- A main focus on speaking and listening
- Practical skills you can use right away
Our goal: help you learn Dutch in a way that is applicable in daily life and have fun while doing it.
